“ WE ALL NEED SOMEBODY;
Base blared from the small white earphones of Caden’s Ipod as he made his way down the dark sidewalk. His black Converse scraped the concrete beneath his feet in a lazy stroll. The freezing wind beat as his back as he hunched over, pulling the ridiculously worn jacket closer to his muscled frame. New York was much, much colder than Huntsville had ever been. He missed the rainy cold days for once, back in Alabama. Glancing back he squinted as another car blew past him, ignoring his thumb sticking out in the light of the streets. His car had broken down about two miles back and the school was, well a bit too far to walk. Another car blew past and he gritted his teeth, obliging them with his middle finger.
Yeah, ya’ll are real classy people here. He hissed bitterly at the passing cars as he pulled his guitar case strap farther up on his burning shoulder. He silently cussed himself for bringing his new electric guitar rather than his old acoustic, of course the Traveler would have been easier to carry than the Fender he now had. He continued to walk, his muddled hair was dancing about on his head in a fancy rumba on top of his scalp. No school, was worth this. No matter if he was getting a full ride or not. He kicked a puddle of rain water in frustration before walking on. Hell, no club was worth this. In fact, he had heard of the crazy clubs up in New York, but at the moment the only thing that looked appealing was crashing on the dorm bed and sleeping in some fresh sheets. But at present, the desire was far from answered.

but i can see it's not on me ;;
audrina had to be one of the only girls in the world that hated driving. she just seemed to be tired of driving around so often; and it was quite an easy way to lose money for gas. but she had to drive today; she and a few friends had gone ice skating down by the lake, and that was just too far to walk. so she'd driven down and was now on her way back to the school. she honestly didn't want to, but hey, she had to. stopping at a stoplight, she fixed her red long sleeved shirt which was wrinkling up by her stomach, and reached into her jeans for her phone. no new calls. damn, she needed somebody with her. she hated driving alone.
as the light changed, she stepped on the pedal a little too hard. slowing down quickly, she sighed. okay, audz, focus! despite her earlier thoughts, she wanted her license. As she drove, she noticed a guy walked down the side of the road with a guitar case strapped onto his back. he looked familiar...did he go to the school? she slowed down slightly and glanced out her window; yes, he did! the guy was one of the music majors, she knew. hey, he seemed...decent enough, maybe. cute too, but that didn't matter. he looked tired and cold. Pulling over, she lowered her window and talked out to him.
"you need a ride?" she shook her head to get her bangs out of her eyes as she waited for him to say something. this was slightly awkward.....ah, whatever.

You Know It's Not A fairy Tale When Juliet Saves Poor Romeo;
The scruffy yet charming face of the young man was reflected in dull surprise and slight amusement. This was a first that the prince charming was in distress and the princess had to ride in to save him. He chuckled to himself and stepped off the sidewalk past the curb and sauntered up to the girl’s car. He leaned over and grinned impishly, Didn’t your momma teach you not to pick up strangers? He laughed quietly and winked at her mischievously. Contradicting his little rant on car safety he opened up the passenger side door and heaved his things in the back except his guitar, which he slid carefully on top of his things. Shaking his wet hair, which was now in a handsome disarray, he rid himself of some of the moisture before ducking into the cab with the unknown girl.
For the first time Caden took the time to look the girl over. What he saw was far from disappointing. A familiar grin curled his mouth from the ends until his white teeth flashed in the insipid light from the street lights. I wasn’t figurin’ on getting picked up by anyone; much less a gorgeous college girl. He joked though once he glanced in her floor board he noticed the papers labeled New York Academy and his grin only got bigger. Or that she’d be sharing’ a school with me. He added with a smug tone, oh it could only get better from here, right? Hah of course. Maybe this year wasn’t going to be such a hell on earth as he had figured.

sit tight i'm gonna need you to keep time
hearing his question, she smirked at him, an eyebrow raised. "i don't think my momma ever said anything against cute strangers." she loved having her little flirtatious moments, especially with a cutie like him. watching him walk towards the passenger side, she watched him throw his things into the back seat. as soon as he got in and closed the door, she stepped on the pedal carefully this time so as not to give herself another heart attack. glancing at him as he said sharing a school with him, she looked at the papers scattered around and she laughed. "well, life surprises you. so, how come i've never really seen you around there before?"
honestly, she never had really seen him before. few glances, maybe, but never long enough to figure out he went to her school, at least at school. she seemed quite capable of noticing him outside of school. wow, she was weird. "now, do you have a name, stranger?" though she was perfectly fine with calling him cute stranger, she figured a name would be easier than saying those two words over and over again.

He let out a spurt of harty chuckles as she mentioned a cute stranger. He leaned back and fit his muscled arms behind his head, stretching. He had turned off his Ipod but he pulled out the phones and cast a sideways glance at his little princess, she was goregous; there was no doubt that. A rockin' body, breathtaking profile, and a smile that could kill; she must be a model. But immediately Caden marked out any chance the girl was high fashion, and she definitely wasn't a catalogue, maybe a scene model? She wasn't freakishly skinny, her hourglass figure was full but not overly defined. Even in the dark he could tell she was in amazing shape.
Then the question passed her lips, which by the way were pretty tempting looking, about his attendance he grinned cheekily. I've been around yeah, but I was out auditioning for a few groups lately. But, I can't say I remember seeing you. He stretched his arms upwards and yawned before crossing them over his broad chest and smiled at her charmingly, And I always remember a pretty face. He was momentarily was caught off guard by her music, his head tilted towards the speakers that gently hummed the tune. But, slightly shaking his head he looked back to the girl and leaned back agianst the passenger seat, I'm Caden Davidson. Does my new best friend have a name?

now if she moves it like this will you move it like that hearing him, she glanced over at him. "you walk to all your auditions?" she wasn't serious, but she was curious. why was he walking, anyways? hearing the end of his sentence, she shrugged. "hmm...i move around a lot. we probably just missed each other. that'd be the only reason, i think." she slowly stopped at another red light. ugh, she hated streets. as she stopped, she glanced over at him as he introduced himself. hearing his question, she couldn't help but giggle slightly. "new best friend? awh, i'm honored." she shook her head. "audrina. so, new best friend, are we heading back to school?"
the thought made her sad. despite her earlier thoughts, she didn't feel like going back. she looked forward, but she couldn't help but glance over at him out of hte corner of her eyes through her bangs. he definitely was one of the cuter guys she'd seen around here. shaggy brown hair with eyes to match. defnitely someone who either worked out, or had a defined body naturally. looking up, she noticed that the light had turned green. stepping down on the gas pedal, she sped up a bit before slowly down. dammit, focus.

Caden felt his lips twitch in amusement at her question, No just this one actually. He shook his head and grunted as she shifted his wieght so that he fully turned his body toward Audrina, Ok, real deal? My car broke down on the way back. Piece a'shit. He grinned joshingly and pushed the airfreshner that hung from her rear view mirror so that it swung back and forth. Momentarily amused he watche dti before directing his attention back on her as her voice, it seemed almost sad?
No the idea of going back to the school when it was only ten seemed a bit, well boring. He shook his head and gave her a look of mock disbelief, Have you never been out on a night on the town around here my dear? He put on a fake cheesy accent and overelaborated with his hands. He paused to look at her and flash a crooked smile, I heard of a rockin club not too far off campus, want to go? Sure this was one way to ask for a date. But, even as the player he was Caden couldn't help but be a bit taken with Audrina, she was absolutely goregous.

had my heart on lockdown hearing him, she rolled her eyes. she turned her attention ( well, most of it ) towards him as he turned his body towards her. she laughed slightly, hearing him. "awh, then i should have found you soon. if i'd driven you we would've spent so much more time together." her voice suggested she was joking, but it was funny that she wasn't really joking. she watched as he pushed the air freshner so that it swung back and forth, trying not to laugh. he seemed so amused by it. she focused back on the road as he asked his next question. hearing him, she looked over and watched his hand motions. laughing slightly, she looked at him.
"hmm....club away from school, cute guy...oh, it's such a hard choice." she smirked, even though she was sort of excited. was it a date? it could be...she thought it was anyway. she shouldn't get excited though...what if it wasn't? oh well. she was willing to take the chance. "all right. but if i get bored i demand a refund." she smirked at him before facing forward and continuing driving. they passed campus soon enough, and she drove on. she had somewhat of an idea where they were going, but not completely. "tell me where to stop or else we're probably going to end up in canada."

cause when i "arrive i bring the ;FIRE Caden sat there, gazing at Audrina for a silent moment, the only noise was the slow hypnotic tune that hummed from the cars speaker. He felt a grin curl the corners of his mouth, slowly he leaned forward, and suddenly broke off the gaze and pointed out down the road as they came to another red light. You see that Burger King? Go right past there and it’ll be the second rode down. You can’t miss the lights, He had leaned much closer than necessary and now he felt her warm breath on his neck. He craned his head over and looked at her, their faces abnormally close. Is that spearmint? He referred to the fresh scent of her breath as it drifted through his senses. He grinned devilishly, Wanna share? He teased and chuckled, his chest hiccupped slightly.
His other arm had snaked around the back of her seat to anchor him, glancing at the light he leaned back slightly and nodded to road in front of him. The lights green. He smirked and leaned back in his seat, he had never like wearing seat belt but seeing his new best friend in her slightly wired state as she drove, he had a sudden urge to wear it. He leaned over and pulled the fastener over his wide frame and buckled it. He stole a glance at her, why couldn’t he help but keep looking at her? And he wasn’t looking at her figure, he was just drawn to her face. Well, that was a first.

but if it keeps you around then i'm down
now, under normal circumstances she would have known where to go. but lately she hadn't been out to any of the local clubs. either she spent the night playing with garret's daughter kaylee or having sleepovers with a bunch of girls on their floor. she glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes and she saw that he was closer than before. but suddenly he pointed towards the side of the road. she listened to him, nodding. but hearing his question, she raised an eyebrow. "maybe it is." she smirked slightly before hearing his question. she bit the inside of her cheek for justt a few seconds before she was about to speak. but hearing him say the light was green, she faced forward again, but stepping on the pedal a bit harder. but she didnt' really bother trying to slow down this time.
in what probably was no time at all, she soon saw the lights he had been referring to. slowing down, she decided to just park across the street from the club. it was quite easy, really. turning off the engine, she reached down to unbuckle her seatbelt. she glanced up at him, her hair falling into her face as a smirk appeared on her face. "is my new best friend ready to have fun tonight?" there probably was the slightest of a flirtatious tone in her voice, but she wasn't sure if it was easy to notice. she couldn't really help it; there was just something about this guy.
