weekends were sometimes the worst. these days were the times that audrina had nothing to do. it was about noon this saturday, and she had absolutely nothing to do. she'd already cleaned up her dorm after she and alli had a wild sleepover again with a couple of other girls. so for now she was stuck alone. running her brush through her hair, she glanced at her clock. it was eleven after twelve. hmm...she should go down and visit garret and kaylee. she hadn't bugged him all week, and she hadn't seen that adorable little girl in such a long time. going over to her closet, she pulled out a random white long sleeved shirt before going to her bureau and finding a pair of skinny jeans. pulling them on, she quickly looked to make sure her hair looked good before grabbing her eyes and wallet; hey, maybe she'd buy something for both of them.
going out the double doors, she decided to just walk down to his apartment. it wasn't that far; she pulled on her jacket that she'd grabbed before she left; it was cold out too. walking down the street with her hands in her pocket, she glanced up occasionally. boy, was she tired. she should have just gone to bed or something, but she didn't think she'd be able to fall asleep. she stopped as she walked past Starbucks. coffee didn't sound too bad right now... walking in, she was happy to see that she was going to be in the front. everyone else already got their things. going over, she ordered just regular hot chocolate; it woke her up better than coffee.
dodging an elderly lady who was coming out with her granddaughter, it seemed like, she wandered over to one of the tables. it'd be a bit of a wait. so, pulling out her phone, she decided to text garret and tell him she was on her way. and hey, she'd mention she'd get him something. no use ruining the surprise if he wasn't going to drink it or something. so, she sent him the text, telling him to expect her. she glanced out the window as she saw some lady walking an adorable little puffyball of a dog. but soon she heard her order, and her attention turned back to the counter as she stood up.
after getting her hot chocolate, she decided, what the hell? she'll get some for little Kaylee too. the girl loved it. for garret...she'd get whatever she thought he'd like. he wasn't completely picky when it came to drinks. so, getting a hot chocolate and a Vanilla Latte for Garret. hey, maybe he'd like it. who knew? so, getting both and paying, she walked the rest of the three minutes to garret's apartment. climbing up the stairs, she was careful not to spill anything. that would suck and it would be extremely painful to have hot liquid pouring on you.
she finally reached his front door. using her foot, she kicked it as her form of knocking. "afternoon, guys. anybody home?" she prayed they were; she'd have just wasted eleven bucks for nothing. and have two warm drinks to drink for herself later on.

Weekends were a God send for Garret Dublin. During the week he was so busy with his classes, the home work from his classes, and pulling double shifts that he didn't get to see his daughter much. He didn't work very often on the weekends, infact, he was suppose to have them off. Occasionally he would go in if they were short handed, its not like he couldn’t use the money. For a person who used to be in a semi-famous band, he was pretty poor. Granted, they were only famous in the towns they lived in, but still. Part of his problem was the fact he refused any financial help from his mother or father. Both were pretty well off, but both would also hold it over his head, possibly using it to make him move back to Ireland, or back to Mid-USA. He didn't want to deal with them, and he was making enough to support both of them, plus pay his tuition.
Garret had actually got to sleep in today, if you call sleeping til eight fifteen sleeping in. Kaylee couldn’t resist any longer, and she toddled back to his room and woke him up by kissing his cheek and yelling “Dadddddd. Wake up! I hungry!”. Garret rolled out of bed, picked up Kaylee, and headed to the kitchen. He sat her down in the floor, where she picked up one of her toys that were lying around everywhere and started playing. Heading over to the fridge, he noticed a note on the fridge.
Gar,
Out job hunting. Didn't want to wake you. I’ll grab some groceries on the way home. Call me if you need anything!
-Emma
It looked like Garret and Kaylee had the apartment to themselves for the day. He grabbed a yogurt for himself, and some dry cereal for Kaylee and they sat down to a quick breakfast. After giving Kaylee a bath and dressing her for the day, Garret took a quick shower and got ready himself. He wasn’t exactly sure what he was going to do for the day. He spent two hours finishing his homework while Kaylee watched some Tinkerbelle movie that she loved. Before he knew it, it was noon and Kaylee was hungry again. Where had his morning gone? Dragging his feet back to the kitchen, he threw a frozen pizza in the oven and set the timer. Hearing his phone go off in the living room, he ran in there thinking it was a phone call. It was just a text from Auds telling him she was coming over. Well, that would give him some company. He was about to text her back when he heard a crash in his room. Kaylee was into something again. He couldn’t help but laugh when he saw that Kaylee had gotten his guitar. “Play daddy?” She asked with the biggest pouty lip Garret had ever seen on her. How could he say no to that? So sitting her up on the bed, he sat by her and began to strum on his guitar. He really loved to hear Kaylee sing, so he started softly singing a Taylor Swift song that he knew Kaylee knew. “You're beautiful, Every little piece love, and don't you know you're really gonna be someone, ask anyone And when you find everything you looked for I hope your life leads you back to my door Oh but if it don't, stay beautiful.” He couldn’t help but grin as he heard Kaylee stumbling over the words, but getting the word beautiful out every time. He had apparently missed Audrina entering the house, because when he went up to check on the pizzas, she scared the crap out of him. “Auds! You really know how to give a guy heart failure!” he said smirking. “But you have impeccable timing, there’s a pizza in the oven, and Kaylee is in a delightful mood! Ohhh! Do I see Starbucks?!?!” Tag;; Audrina Word Count;; 654 Outfits;; Kaylee GarretOther Notes;; Par-tay Baby, crank up those tuuuuuuunes. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

she might as well have gotten a key to his place. in fact, she knew where they kept it.... when no one opened the door, she reached above to the little frame above the door for the spare key. opening the door, she made sure it was hidden back in it's safe little spot before closing the door behind her. she heard garret singing, and she occasionally heard Kaylee's little voice joining in. awh. the girl was absolutely adorable.
wandering into the kitchen, she placed all the starbucks stuff on the counter. pizza? she checked the oven to make sure nothing was burning when she heard him. turning around, she stared at him, laughing a bit. "not my fault you don't seem to pay attention to anything!" she glanced back at the oven. "you haven't burned it yet! good job, garret!" she loved teasing him. hearing him say kaylee was in a delightful mood, she grinned. "awh, that's good. i got her hot chocolate." Hearing his question of starbucks, she laughed. "yeah. i thought you guys might want something while i was there."
she looked behind garret as kaylee stayed in the other room, looking at garret's guitar as though a precious jewel. "i swear she's getting more adorable by the day. you sure she's related to you?" she grinned at him before walking past him, ruffling his hair as she did. "kayleeee. do you want hot chocolate?" she turned back to him as she heard little footsteps running into the kitchen. "emma out?" garret's roomate and her were pretty tight; the girl was a sweetheart. she grabbed her drink off the counter and took a sip of it as she looked up at him. "so any plans today love? i mean, you can't just be planning on hiding here all day."

It wasn’t a surprise to Garret that Audrini was checking the pizza. The girl seemed to think that Garret was an incompetent cook. Granted, Emma did do most of the cooking, but she enjoyed it, at least Garret thought she did. He laughed as she pretended to be surprised he hadn’t burned the pizza yet. “Please, I dated an Italian girl… Do you think I would do that without knowing how to cook pizza and pasta? Do you think me a fool? Plus, someone has to be able to cook pasta, and we all know Jayden cant,” he said with a grin.
He wasn’t sure if Auds was aware that he liked Andrea, but he figured she did. Hell, even Kaylee knew that he thought she was pretty. But he wasn’t going to think about Andrea right now, he was going to hang out with one of his bust buddies, eat pizza, and drink Starbucks. “You thought right for once!” he said with a smirk. He grabbed the cup that didn't smell like hot chocolate and took a drink. “Mmmmmm. Vanilla Latte, one of my favorites.” he said, he should have worked at Starbucks, lord knew he loved it enough.
Taking the pizza out of the oven, he sat it on the counter to cool as he walked over to where Auds was standing. His heart couldn’t help but swell when he saw Kay looking at his guitar as if it was the most beautiful thing ever. His daughter was already showing a love for music, and Garret was defiantly going to encourage it. He laughed at Auds comment and playfully pushed her shoulder. “That's how I know she’s related to me dear. Where do you think she gets her good looks? The girl looks like me more than Miranda.” he said, ignoring the stab in his heart when he said her name.
Grabbing Kaylee off the bed, he threw her over his shoulder and carried her back into the kitchen and sat her in her booster seat. “Buuuuutttt I wannnn my hawt chalkcolatttteee.” She said pouting slightly and sliding out of her seat and walking over to where Audrina was standing. “Awedwena. I wannn my hawt chalkcolate.” she said, giving her the most pathetic puppy dog look. Garret smirked as he cut the pizza, that girl had everyone she knew under her spell, and she knew it. “Chill Kay, you’ll get the got chocolate. Yea, Emma is job hunting, she left me a note. And I really didn't have any plans today. I really don't consider it hiding either… You have any better ideas?

she smirked at him. "italian, huh? well, you have good taste...but i still think of you a fool." she grinned at him; she loved teasing the poor guy. it was just too easy to miss out on. she looked up at him as he took his drink, drinking it. hearing him, she laughed. "please. without me thinking you wouldn't have gotten out of here to buy yourself a measly cup of coffee." she stuck her tongue out at him.
hearing him as he looked at kaylee, she glanced at him as he mentioned miranda. kaylee's mom was probably a touchy subject for him, but he seemed to be putting up a strong face. she didn't want him to make it noticable that she was thinking these things, so she kept up her teasing voice. "hmm...but she's adorable. there's the difference." she smirked at him. "i tease, i tease. you're adorable...in your own way." she giggled slightly. kaylee was an adorable little girl; she honestly did look like him, the hair color, the eye shape, and probably a lot more than just that. but audrina wasn't that much of a careful person to notice those kinds of similarities. she was also showing an interest in music, and with garret as a dad there was no doubt she would become a musician herself.
she went over to cut the pizza into even slices as she heard kaylee's little voice as garret carried her into the kitchen. turning around, she saw the little girl climb out of her booster seat and come to her. hearing her, she couldn't help but smile. the girl was too adorable, especially with that little face. reaching down, she picked her up. reaching for one of those plastic cups, she opened the container and poured a reasonable amount of hot chocolate in for her, leaving a good amount still there for later. going towards her booster seat, she set her down. "here you go. and don't worry; i'll buy hot chocolate for you. your daddy doesn't have a good memory. keep reminding him to take a shower well, okay? and tell him to wash behind those ears, okay?" she smiled at her before straightening up and turning to him. "job hunting? she could've asked me and i could've tried to get her a job with us." it took her a moment to remember that her and garret both worked at La Bella Vista. work was sometimes too amusing.

“Fool! You think me a fool! I must be a fool to consider you a best friend!” he said ruffling her hair and grinning. Audrina teased him all the time, but he found it rather hilarious. Taking another sip, he smirked again. “ “I would have just kept bugging you until you finally caved and went to Starbucks. I am pretty irresistible after all.” he said with another cocky smirk.
He kept trying to shove Miranda out of mind. Her memory always came up at the worst times, the times he was finally trying to move on with his life. For far too long Miranda had kept him from doing things he wanted to, like going out with pretty girls, because he felt like he was betraying her. Not that it mattered. She had made her decision, she was the one who left him and Kaylee, he should feel like he was betraying her. Great, now he was letting her ruin his time with his best friend. He laughed slightly, trying to get his good mood back. “You’d better say that. As my best friend, you are entitled to compliment me at all times, call me adorable, and buy me coffee. Hey…you aren’t doing half bad.” he said teasingly again.
Garret laughed as Kaylee got her way yet again. It didn't take much for her to get a person wrapped around her finger. As Audrina helped Kaylee, Garret grabbed two plates and threw some pizza on them. Grabbing Kaylee’s special Dora plate, he cut a piece up in a few pieces and then carried all three over to the table. Placing Kaylee’s and Audrina’s plates down in front of them, then sat down. “Oh, Tell aunt Auds to shush.” he said, sticking his tongue out at Aud. He took a bite of his pizza, and shrugged at Audrina’s question. “You know her. She likes to do things on her own…..When do you work again next anyway?”

she pretended to look insulted. crossing her arms, she leaned her head back as he messed up her hair. "but yet, you consider me your best friend! a smart fool you are, indeed." she grinned at him. hearing him, she rolled her eyes. "no being cocky, mister. your daughter's going to be learning from you. and she's too adorable to follow your lead."
taking a sip of her drink, she looked up at him as he talked. hearing him, she raised an eyebrow. "why must i lie to you about being adorable? i didn't know best friends cloaked the truth like that." she smirked at him, but she laughed. "you know you're going to have to pay me back for all the coffee i buy you, whether you ask me or not. i'm wasting my paycheck on you. now, kaylee, you can exclude the price for what i buy her, but you owe me the three fifty every time i buy you a drink." She stuck her tongue out as she leaned her back against the counter next to kaylee booster seat. but soon she sat herself down next to the seat.
she stuck her tongue out at garret as he told kaylee to shush her. sipping her drink, she decided to dig in. looking up at him as he talked, she chewed before swallowing her pizza. "that's true..." she tried to remember. "uhm...sometime this week?" she was horrible with dates. "no! wait, i work tomorrow night, five to ten." she nodded her head. boy, was she horrible at this. that's why she usually wrote her work schedule down on her bulletin board; she'd just glance up at it every morning just to remember everything. "what about you, huh?"
taking a bit of her pizza, she looked up at garret. "okay, we need to get the two of you out of this house, like soon. you both are pale as anything! do you let sunlight into this house at all?!" her joking tone had returned to her voice; she loved teasing the poor guy. mostly because he just teased right back instead of taking it seriously like she knew other people to do. she was in quite the talkative mood that day. instantly, she remembered. "oh, i didn't tell you! i met this guy, well...i kinda picked him up off the side of the road, but still. he reminded me of you. well....past you." she shrugged; she didn't know why she mentioned it. the two of them talked about their love life so much it was kind of weird, but it was good too. because she knew garret wouldn't be like those backstabbing girls who'd end up telling the guy what she said about him.

“A fool I must be for you to be my best friend!” he said with a smirk as she grinned at him. “Don’t roll your eyes at me missy! Kaylee looks up to you! Look what you are teaching her! And you’re worried about her being a little bit too cocky. Being cocky isn’t always necessarily a bad thing…I think…” he said scrunching his brows slightly. He wasn’t quite sure if he was making sense, but he decided to go with it anyway.
“Best friends always cloak the truth like that. Just like if you really looked like crap one day, not saying that is possible, and you asked me how you looked, I would lie and say you look great so I didn’t hurt your feelings. Then I would tell Emma and make her tell you that you looked bad. See, I wouldn’t be the bad guy.” he said with a big grin. Letting his grin drop into a playful frown, he pouted. “I knew there was a catch. I never get free coffee, never ever!” he said, not being able to hold his pout, thus smiling. “Fine. Keep the change.” he said taking out his wallet and tossing a five towards Audrina.
Garret stuck his tongue back out at Auds. Yea, at times he could be childish, but it was expected. After all, even though he had a child, he was still an eighteen year old boy, it was bound to happen. Taking another bite, he nodded his head when she agreed with him. “she’s always been like that. Oh well. If things don’t work out, I’m sure she’ll accept your offer.” he said with a sure nod. He grinned when she said he worked the next night. “Dude! I do too! That’s awesome. Well…Really, I work four to ten, but still. We get to work together again!” he said excited now.
He frowned at her, “We don’t need to get out of this house. I’ve always been pale, Miranda is pale, and Kaylee will be pale as a result of it. The poor girl is cursed!” It was absolutely true. Garret was pale, Miranda was pale, and poor Kaylee would be the same way. But if the girl ever asked him why, he would blame it all on Miranda, the only thing he would really ever blame on the girl. “But you name a place and we will go, if only to make you happy.” he said rolling his eyes, but grinning. He was kind of shocked when she said something about meeting a guy and picking him up off the side of the road. Audrina was like a little sister to him, and he did not like the idea of her picking up strange guys off the side of the road. “You did what? You picked up some strange guy off the side of the road because he reminded you of how I used to act? That’s not a good thing Auds! Picking up someone who reminds you of me now is bad, let alone picking up some random guy who reminds you have how I used to be. I wasn’t a very good person then! Were you not thinking!” he said angrily. He took a second to breathe, and looked at her expectantly, momentarily forgetting that his daughter was sitting right beside him.
Kaylee was looking at him with wide eyes. In all of her four years, Kaylee had never seen her father get that upset about something. He knew he shouldn’t have gotten so upset about it, after all, it was probably something he would have done. But he was protective over Audrina, she was his little sister, well…might as well have been. He thought her slightly stupid for making such a poor decision. After all, the guy could have taken advantage of the girl, or hurt her. Garret shuddered at the thought of either one. “Did you get the guys name atleast?” he asked still angry, but voice more controlled now.

she raised an eyebrow as he rambled on, and as he finished off with a grin, she crossed her arms. "and you think that's not being bad? jeeez." she pretended to look away, mad. but she turned back to him when he talked. she looked back just as a five was thrown at him. shaking her head, she gave it back. "no no! i don't need your money. i'm too much of a good person to take money from people." she gave him a smile. "but of course, if you reallly want to pay me back, i wouldn't say no a day at an amusement part or something." she grinned at him. amusement parks are fun, and she hadn't been to one since the start of term.
hearing him say that he was working same time as her, she laughed. "all right! we just have to be careful though; i bet Liz'll kick our butts if we drop spaghetti on another guy again." she remembered how garret and her had had a contest to see who could hold up a plate with only two fingers, and as she took a step forward she had tripped over something ( probably a purse or something ) and had taken a nasty fall, only to drop spaghetti into an old man's laugh. boy, would she have lost her job if the lady hadn't been on their side.
she rolled her eyes. "such a bad curse it is." taking a bite, she thought. "hey, my amusement park offer still stands." she grinned. she definitely had amusement parks in her mind that day. as she took a bite, she looked up as she heard the sudden change of tone in garret's voice. looking up at him, she stared at him as he either yelled or talked with a very loud and angry tone. biting the inside of her cheek, she let her bangs come in front of her so she couldn't shoot him the glare she wanted to. what the heck was she supposed to say to him? nothing that kaylee could hear. she looked at her as she stared at her daddy.
giving him a meanful glance that told him to wait for her, she stood up, seeing that kaylee was pretty much done her food. "hey, sweetie, how about you go watch some TV, okay? i'll put on Spongebob." she picked her up, taking the cup, half full with hot chocolate, with her. taking her to the living room, she set her down on the couch and turned the TV on, switching the channels until she saw Spongebob on one of them. handing the cup back to her, she said, "me and your daddy are just gonna clean up and talk a bit, okay? if you need anything, just call us, okay?" she gave the girl a grin, but she was too preoccupied with whatever spongebob was up to today. glancing to make sure she wouldn't need anything, she walked back into the kitchen.
glaring at him, she picked up the plates as she walked to the sink, all but throwing them into the sink before turning back to him. "what the hell is your problem, garret? i'm not a freaking little kid anymore!" she took a breath, not wanting to completely yell at him; she knew where he was coming from, but she didn't have to agree to it. "okay, it's not like he was some creepy rapist! he goes here, all right? i'd seen him before like, four thousand times here, on campus, okay? and we talked, we drove back here, and that was it! nothing happened, okay?" she decided that mentioning the club wasn't that great of an idea. no need to have him yelling anymore than he had. "and his name was caden, okay? caden davidson." she sighed, her anger dying away pretty quickly. she wasn't ever one to stay mad. she turned away for a minute, staring down at the sink, before turning back to him. "all right, i'm sorry, okay? maybe i wasn't thinking then, but....ugh." she decided shutting up would be good. turning back to the sink, she started washing the dishes. "just...forget it, please?"

When the lights go off I wanna watch the way you Take the stage by storm The way you wrap those boys around your finger Go on and play the leader 'Cause you know it's what you're good at The low road for the fast track Make every second last
Shaking his head, and causing his longish hair to flip around crazily, he said “Noppers. I don’t see that being bad at all. Without it, would I really be Garret?” he smirked, but then frowned when she tried to give the five back. “Woman! Take the five dollars! It’s the least I can do since you did bring both Kaylee and me something from our favorite place. So how about this… I pay you back the five dollars, and I’ll take you and Kaylee to the amusement park… He said with a grin. Either way he would win, because one way or another he would find a way to pay her back.
He laughed for a moment thinking about some of the stupid stuff they had pulled at work. He could remember one time when they had tried to see who could carry the most plates in one trip. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but it ended up with the two colliding, sending the plates crashing to the ground, and the two of them covered in spaghetti and lasagna. They had found it hilarious, but their manager had not. The only thing that had saved their butts that time was the fact that it was the manager who actually liked the two. “Definitely careful. Liz told me that my last stunt was the last one she could let me get away with.”
“Yep Yep. A very very bad curse indeedy.” he said with a goofy lopsided grin. He thought for a moment. It was the second time she had mentioned amusement parks within the last ten minutes. He supposed that Kaylee did need to get out and have more fun. Sitting around the house doing nothing and going to daycare during the day really wasn’t a great life for a four year old. “Okayyyyy. You’ve convinced me. We’ll head over to an amusement park in a few minutes.” After all, he had just gotten paid, and he really had no plans to speak of.
After blowing up on her like he did, he kind of felt bad. But he was still so pissed off, that when she gave him the ‘this is not finished, chill for a moment’ look, all the did was stare at her, and give a stiff nod. He listened as she took Kaylee into the living room and turned on SpongeBob. Yea, that would definitely keep the kid occupied. She wouldn’t even hear them if they got into a loud argument. He sort of wished he would have taken Kaylee into a different room before he blew up on Auds. After all, Kaylee had never even heard her father with a slight raised voice, let alone a yell. He sat down at the table and put his head in his hands while he waited for Audrina to come back and blow up on him.
Looking up only after he heard Auds pretty much throw his plates in the sink. “My problem? Do you want to know what my fucking problem is Audrina? The fact you claim you aren’t a kid anymore, but yet you pick up a guy who you really don’t know.” he stopped for a minute to hear her out, and then let out a bitter laugh “Okay. So you’ve seen the dude. That makes things so much better. So next time I see an Ax murder standing on the road, I’ll be sure to pick him up. After all, I probably have seen the guy around, so it makes it okay. That’s fucking stupid Audrina Nicole Goldstiein, and you know it.”
Standing up, he crossed over to the kitchen and starting putting the dishes that had been drying on the counter away. If he was going to argue with Audrina, he might as well work while he did it. “Great. Thanks. Now I have a name to find the dude who needs to be punched in the fucking face for hitch-hiking with eighteen year olds girls. Or do you forget that fact Aud. You are still a fucking kid to these people, you’re barely legal! What is this guy, twenty, twenty-two? he said as he slammed the cabinet door. He stood there with an arm on the cabinet and his head hung for a moment, trying to get a hold on his anger at this guy who he didn’t know. Slowly, he turned around to face her, only to see that she was staring at the dishes in the sink. “Fine. I’ll drop it, but I wont forget it. Just promise me you wont pick up anymore strangers, not even if you recognize them from school. You don’t plan on seeing this…caden dude anymore do you?” he asked as he grabbed a towel to start drying the dishes she was washing.

she rolled her eyes, laughing silently as he talked. hearing him tell her to take the dollar back, she shook her head violently. "i don't want your...." she stopped as he mentioned his deal. "hmm....all right!" grinning, she took his five dollars. if he didn't immediately ask her for it back, she would laugh. but hey, she might get to go to an amusement park out of it! amusements parks were amazing.
"you mean Liz likes you. i think she has a thing for you. she shoots me the evil eye whenever we goof off." now, she wasn't completely sure on that, but that was her assumption. the lady did seem to have a soft spot for garret; she rarely yelled at him. it was either she was attracted to him ( even though she was like...fifty ), or he just did something that made her like him. either way, it was interesting.
taking a bite of her pizza, she looked up at him, an excited gleam in her eye when he agreed to the amusement park. grinning, she punched the air. "YES!" she coughed, trying to hide her excitement. "i mean...that's cool. kaylee would love it." but she burst out laughing. going to an amusement park would definitley be the highlight of the day. she wasn't planning on doing anything for the rest of the day except bugging the crap out of garret, and it was better to bug the crap out of him when they were in public. he couldn't smack her for doing it then.
garret dublin yelling was something she hadn't had to deal with at all yet. her and garret had just clicked, and it seemed like they wouldn't ever get into a fight. they never even had those mini spats best friends had. so his sudden yelling was something hse wouldn't have been used to. she doubted kaylee had ever seen him yelling either. hearing him, she stared up at him, her eyes narrowed slightly at him, keeping her mouth shut. she didn't want to say anything that she knew she would regret, and tehre were a lot of things on her mind that she wanted to say. she waited until there was a slight pause in his tirade, and she started speaking, her voice in what was all too cleary her just trying to keep her voice calm.
"garret. lee. dublin. i've made a lot of stupid mistakes in my life, all right? this wasn't one. just like when i randomly went up to you, when i didn't know who the fuck you were, and started talking to you. i'm not going to say that you are wrong, i'm just saying that you better just shut the fuck up about this!" the last part of her sentence came out a bit more angry than she had intended, but she sighed, slouching over the counter, her elbow resting on it. pinching the bridge of her nose, she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. she couldn't believe that her and garret were still fighting about this. relaxing slightly, she could see it point of view on the whole thing, but in her mind, she did think he was making it way more of a big deal than it was.
he probably was making a bigger deal out of this than avery would have. speaking of her 'mom', it took her a minute to remember that garret didn't even know anything about her past, even though they talked about his a whole. mostly because he was hurting because of it. sure, she couldn't exactly hurt for missing her mother, because she was only five when her mom had died. and her dad hadn't been in the picture at all. he'd just left then before she was even born. thinking of the difference between her own father and garret was painful too. and she knew that she shouldn't have been arguing with him. life was already stressful for him as it was, and her arguing back wouldn't help him at all. she blinked a minute, for her eyes had been stinging. god dammit, she wasn't going to cry now. taking a break, she straightened up, wiping her eyes, feeling moisture on the back of her hand.
"okay, i'm sorry. i was stupid, i know. but....just don't yell. i don't want to...like, make you more stressed out. i shouldni't have mentioned....any of it. i'm sorry." she felt her voice break at the end of it, and she turned back to her spot at the counter, running her hand through her hair. being yelled at was something audz wasn't good at in any way. that was probably the only time she would ever even think about crying, let alone actually doing it. god damn, where had that good day she'd been having so far go?

When the lights go off I wanna watch the way you Take the stage by storm The way you wrap those boys around your finger Go on and play the leader 'Cause you know it's what you're good at The low road for the fast track Make every second last
Garret laughed, “I figured you would see things my way eventually.” Audrina could really bring out the kid in him at times. He actually was looking forward to spending the day with Auds and Kaylee at the park. He even thought about asking her if she wanted to call up Joey, Eliot, Aiden and Jayden and ask them if they wanted to go along. He was already excited at the thought of all of his friends getting together and hanging out. And if Emma got back in time, she would more than likely go as well! Yea, this could turn out to be a good day!
“Please….Everyone has a thing for me Audrina! When will you learn this? Don’t act like you don’t have a hard time keeping your thoughts to yourself about me. Babe, its not going to work between us. I hate to break your heart, but you need to know the truth. I’m with Jayden, and I like the girl. So you and Liz are just going to have to find other people. And…Maybe she shoots you an evil eye because she thinks you should be the adult in our friendship, and you don’t act like it!” he said as a matter of factly. He figured that Liz only really liked him because she often told him of how he reminded her of her first husband, but that was just a theory. He did have to agree though, for some reason she had a soft spot for him.
He lost it when she almost choked on her pizza. “Calm down darling!” he said, still laughing. “Kaylee would love it. And what do you think about inviting a few people along. I think we could have a lot of fun if the three of us go and invite along Joey, Aiden, Jayden and Eliot. Don’t you?” He was getting excited, not as excited as Auds was, but close. He needed a day out. He just hoped that Audrina wouldn’t bug him about it.
He almost felt bad for ruining a perfectly great day, but he believed he had every reason to get angry at her. For Pete’s sake!, the girl was picking up a random guy and driving around with him. He listened to her retort, and laughed a laugh that lacked any humor at all. “We are NOT talking about me here Audrina! We are not talking about the past, we are talking about now, and why you picked this dude up.” He glared at her for a moment. “Fine. You want me to ‘shut the fuck up about this’, I will. How about I just shut the fuck in general.” he said as he stormed out of the kitchen, knocking over a chair as he did so.
Pissed wasn’t a strong enough emotion for the way he was feeling at the moment. Walking through the living room he checked on Kaylee before walking into the bathroom and slamming the door. He looked at his face, which was as red as a tomato. Yea…he really was pissed. He threw some water on his face, then dried it with a towel. He opened the door and then into the bedroom, slamming that door too. Plopping himself on the end of the bed, he sat there for a moment. Maybe he was overreacting. No… he definitely didn’t think he was. But he probably could have been a bit more calm about the whole thing, rather than blowing up on her.
With a sigh, he stood up and made his way back to the kitchen. That’s where he saw Audrina bent over the sink, crying. He walked over and pulled her into a hug as she talked to him. “I shouldn’t have yelled at you the way I did. I’m not going to say I overreacted, because I don’t think I did. And don’t you ever worry about stressing me out. I’m fine, and yes, you should have told me. Because if you ever turn up missing, I know who to beat the shit out of.” he said, slightly joking. “Look…I’m sorry I made you cry. Are we still on for the amusement park?”

she stuck her tongue out at him. "hey, amusement park, and i get five bucks out of it. course i'd see it your way." she rolled her eyes, but she grinned at him. today was probably going to be fun. amusement parks were love for her; they were just a place where anybody could act like a little kid. sure, garret already did that naturally, but it would be good to just let the whole parenting role down for a day. and if a group of them went, kaylee'd have more interaction with the 'adults'. and it was a fun way to hang out with people! it was win-win...win. if that even existed.
laughing silently, she bit her lip as he talked. "awh, i know how you want me to be absolutely interesting in you, love, but i'm sorry, i never was. you are adorable, but i couldn't ever go out with you, no matter how much you dream of me. and you and jayden are adorable as hell!" they were; the girl was a sweetheart, and she seemed to bring out the softie in garret. she burst out laughing at his logic. "me? the adult in the relationship? that was hilarious. she couldn't imagine herself as the adult in the relationship. maybe if garret was closer to her age, but two years older, no way.
she stuck her tongue out at him as he told her to calm down. who could blame her for being excited? hearing his idea, she nodded. "course! it'd be fun!" hanging out with everyone would just be plain fun. she couldn't wait. she wanted to leave at that minute, but she just didn't want to just yet. that'd probably be asking a little too much. best not to push her luck just yet. she looked at kaylee, ticking her sides as the girl watched the two of them. "you wanna go to the amusement park with daddy and daddy's friends?" she grinned as the girl let out her little laughter; she was just too adorable. she looked at garret, grinning. "i think she's in."
where had the day gone? it had started out perfectly, and now it was down to this. hearing him, she sighed, running a hand through her hair. hearing him, she looked up as he walked out of the kitchen, flinching slightly as the chair made a loud BANG as it made contact with the tile floor. groaning, she kicked the bottom of the sink, her fingers pulling at her hair. this certainly wasn't going the way she thought. hearing a door banging, with another slam following just minutes later, she rolled her eyes. walking to the doorway, she made sure kaylee was still watching TV. she was; she honestly doubted the girl had heard anything that was exchanged between the two. turning around, she went back to the sink, picking up the chair and placing it back where it had been in the first place.
she was surprised when she felt garret pull her into a hug as she mumbled her apology. she blinked a few times as she rested her head against him, her hand still rubbing at her eyes. hearing him as he finished his sentence, she rolled her eyes slightly. she looked up as he apologized, and hearing his question, she shrugged at him. "i don't know...i think you have to apologize to those poor doors. i don't they deserved that anger you had at me." she pointed in the general direction of the two doors he'd banged, a slight smile on her face.
