--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- when audrina had woken up that morning, she hadn't thought of what she was going to do. she had been planning on hanging out with one of her friends, but she didn't know who just yet. she needed something to do. so after she'd hurriedly gotten dressed, she was completely ready to just head out and explore. that is, until her psychology professor had found her. this one professor was the only that was a bitch to her and always seemed to have it out for innocent little audrina. she seemed quite aware of audrina's last minute assignments, even though she got really good grades on them. so the woman had forced her to go to the computer lab and start working on the essay a week before it was even due. grumbling angrily, she had sat down at one of the computers ready to type.
but an hour later didn't help. she only had about a paragraph and a half of her essay done, and it was supposed to be three pages. how was she supposed to manage that?! she had no inspiration to type anything that day. today was one of those days where she wanted to just go and spend time with friends. the damn woman wasn't even there. knowing her, she was probably hooking up with the graphics design professor. there were quite a lot of rumors about the two of them...that was just gross too think about. she sighed, leaning back into her seat, she stretched her arms above her head before she pulled her phone out. she was definitely going to now text somebody to hang out with. if not she would bash her head into the screen in front of her.
looking through her contact list, she didn't know who she wanted to hang out with. but when her scrolling landed on camden's name, she smiled. she hadn't hung out with her cammikins in a long time! and today was the day! so flipping her phone open, she sent him a quick text:
save me from the evil computer lab of doom plzz?! :]
hitting send, she sat back in her chair, pulling her feet up pretzel style onto the swivel chair. grasping the end of the table, she spun herself around on the swivel chair, trying to distract herself. she wasn't going to be able to focus now that she'd sent cammie a text to come to her. turning around, she glanced at the computer screen. okay, time to focus. she placed her fingers on the keys, ready to type, but soon she found herself doing everythign else but that; checking email, myspace, facebook, and all that. soon she was on youtube watching random stuff. she even found some dude named brendon that looked like cammie! what're the odds?
she glanced over at the door a few times, but she didn't see him. maybe he hadn't gotten her text? maybe he couldn't come? did he text her back? she checked her phone, but there weren't any new texts.

What in the bloody hell was that stupid professor's problem? Did he have something against gay boys or what? Of course the same amount of work was handed off on each and every student in the classroom but as usual Camden took it personally. He was beginning to regret ever taking this simple computer class in the first place, he knew how to handle a computer he had dealt with them numerous times. He figured it had been an easy mark not a class filled with a nasty professor that only found joy in slaughtering the lot of his college students afternooons. "Stupid man...needs to get laid...that's what his problem is..." The boy muttered looking at his feet as he was on his way to his dormatory. He was sure he had heard a couple college girls giggle, that made him flinch. Why did so many girls have to find him so damn adorable?
Hearing his text alert, Camden jumped slightly. Why must he scare so easily? He took his limegreen phone out of his pocket and smiled as he saw his best friend in the universe's name flash across the screen. Audrina wanted to hang out and that made him very happy. What was a better way to be distracted from him mass of homework? Perhaps it would allow him to finish some of it as well as she wanted to meet him in a computer lab. She and Camden always had a way of wanting to be or having to be at the same place at the same time, it was kind of weird really. He had never been so in sync with a person that wasn't Tristan, they were honestly made for one another...in the best friend sort of way of course. Audrina had happily been a girl that had never seemed to have a crush on him and that had made it all the easier for him to tell her that he was gay.
i am comingggg! ily!
Quickly he allowed his feet to carry him in the opposite direction of where he had previously been heading to find his best friend and hopefully have her brighten his day. He was sure she would, she always had. He loved upbeat happy people like himself and that exactly how Audrina was, whenever they were together they were always being outrageous and giddy. He loved going on crazy expeditions with her and making asses out of themselves in the process. They always had a lot of eyes on them when they went out in public, they liked to be the center of attention. His favorite time had to be when they faked a gigantic scene at the mall, acting they had been dating for a year and he had just come out to be gay to her. He had surprisingly gotten a cute boy's phone number after that too...not that he ever called him, he was still hung up on his Tristan.
Finally he arrived at his destination and saw Audrina looking weird things up on youtube, he snuck up beside her and posistioned his hands so that he looked like a monster, "Rawr!" Camden boomed playfully, laughing a bit afterwards and taking a seat in the chair beside her. "Hi best friend, what are you doing this horrible afternoon?" He asked her, as he rested his chin on her shoulder as he could look at her computer screen more properly.

------------------------------------------------------------------ her phone vibrating was the first thing that got her attention. seeing it beep and move in place for a minute, she finally zoned out from watching random comedy videos and picked it up. seeing camdem's text, she grinned before shoving her phone back in her pocket. now she wouldn't be lonely! she was looking forward to her cammikins coming to her rescue. the boy was one of her bestest friends in the world. she loved that boy dearly; he was the cutest thing she'd ever seen. he was almost like a puppy; that's why she loved him. nothing romantic ever happened; sure, maybe because the boy was gay, but still! he was too good of a friend to ever feel anything for him.
she remembered back to how they used to be. she remembered when they'd once been pretending to have dated, only to have him come out to her that he was gay. they'd caused quite a scene at the mall; a boy had given camdem his number, and another one had come up to audrina 'comforting' her. later than night camdem and her had a sleepver talking about how cute the guys were and spent the night watching movies and prank calling people. they always had a good time together; he was the first one she'd ever call to have a good time with.
in her moment of reminising, she didn't even notice the fact that the door was opening and someone was walking in. but hearing the random 'rawr' coming from behind her, no matter how playful the tone, she still jumped a bit. before she couldn't turn around, she saw her cammikins sitting beside her. "don't do that! i don't want to die early from heart attack!" she frowned playfully at him. but as he rested his chin on her shoulder, she knew she couldn't stay mad at the boy; he was just too darn adorable. "stupid psycho teacher caught on that i didn't do my work ahead of time. and she was all 'you're gonna do it today blah blah' so she made me stay here while she go hooks up with the graphics design teacher." she shrugged before looking at his face over her shoulder. "so audrina thought cammikins should come over and save her from the evil paper of doom!" she wrapped her arms around him, giving him a big hug. "my hero! how can i ever repay you." she said in an overdramatized voice. but quickly she pulled back, turning her chair to look at him.
"i say we go out somewhere! who really cares? love, you better than i do that neither of us is actually gonna work today, right?" she rolled her eyes; her doing an assignment beforehand never happened. she was always a 'do it the night before' kind of girl, and that wasn't going to change. "so what'dya say we just go out and have fun?" she thought. "we could go to the park and chase the ducks! i want to catch one of them one day!" she got a thoughtful look on her face; the few times they'd gone to the park, they'd chased ducks before, her always hoping to catch one, him...well, probably just to enjoy the fun as well. she was truly determined to catch one. "unless my cammikins has a better idea?" she looked at him, almost bouncing in her seat; she wanted to do something fun with her cammikins.

Bloody hell, did computer labs always have to be so cold? The boy allowed himself to shiver a bit before throwing his hoodie back onto his body. It was most certainly his favorite, a black one with the word gay written largely across his chest in rainbow lettering. Most people found it hard to believe that Camden had been in the closet for so long after the way that he now flaunts it for everyone to see. He will admit a large part of his obnoxiousness when it comes to his sexuality in to annoy the hell out of his father. After all, there is nothing that brings him more pleasure than bringing his dad displeasure after all that he had done to both himself and his relationship with Tristan. He blamed him for absolutely everything when it came to Camden's unhappiness, no one else could possibly ever compare to his father's ignorance nor his cruelty...in this boy's book at any rate.
Audrina knew everything when it came to Camden's past. The very same day they had met in the music room, they spilled their guts to one another. He couldn't even remember how long they had spent talking and making ridiculous plans to take over the world. He had immediately known Auds was going to be his very best mate at New York Academy, it had been obvious. They clicked in a way that it was simply beyond their power to be anything but, it was cool as he hadn't felt that way since Tristan. Well, there were still obvious differences but that was pretty inevitable considering the whole gender thing.
Seeing her jump slightly at his lame attempt at a dinosaur, the boy's laughter only increased until he was finally able to get a hold of himself. He was always cracking up at things that weren't nearly as funny as he seemed to think they were. He pouted a bit after hearing her words, "Awe, Cammie didn't mean to make Auds have a heart attack.... He said in a rather childish tone, looking down at the floor whilst doing so. He was having quite a bit of fun with her, he knew she had to think he was being rather adorable right now. For some reason, girls always thought that way about him...if only boys found him adorable nearly as often. His hazel eyes widened a bit when she told him why she was in here, apparently he wasn't the only one with a psychotic teacher to deal with. "She's mad at you for not being done early? She hooks up with another teacher?!? That is just....really really really disgusting." Camden finished, shaking his head with a bit of horror. After all, now he had a rather disturbing image of the teachers together in his head. He chuckled as she deemed him her hero and threw her arms around him, "Wellll, that makes you my hero too then, love. I was going to have to do a shitload of work as well." He explained, rolling his eyes at the thought.
"Quite obviously." He nodded in agreement. Audrina Goldstein and Camden Ryan do homework whilst in one another's presence? That was as likely as Brittany Spears and Ozzy Osbourn getting married. They were there to distract one another, not actually get anything productive done. He could only imagine what would happen if the two were ever parred together to do a project or something, it would be a complete disaster that was for sure. He put on a thoughtful face at her suggestion, "We could, we could. Or we could look for cute boys...now that sounds like fun to Camden!" He proclaimed, smiling brightly at her in hopes of getting his way. If there was one thing Camden Ryan was addicted to...it was boys.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- she stuck her tongue out at him as he laughed as she jumped just slightly. she couldn't help it; when anyone did that to her, she wasn't one to just blow it off; she'd really get freaked out. she was just a little girl at heart, and camden was like that too, which is probably why the two of them got along so well. she looked at him as he joined her side, and seeing him pout, looking at the floor, she rolled his eyes. he sometimes reminded her of garret's little girl, kaylee. she could get people eating out of the palm of her hand by making a face, and camden was the same way at times. she ruffled his hair, saying. "okay, okay, audrina won't stay mad at cammikins." camden was like a brother to her; she loved him so much. she was probably the only girl that didn't want to bang him. well, part of it could have to do with the fact that she knew he was gay, but still.
watching his face as she explained about her psychotic teacher, she couldn't help but laugh. hearing him, she nodded her head vigoriously. "i know! it's super creepy!" she frowned at the thought of that; it was very, very disturbing. but course, that would probably get around the school soon. whether it was true or not, she didn't know, but eventually it would probably happen, if enough students were talking about it...ick. she decided not to think on it anymore, as camden talked. hearing him, she grinned. "yes! i'm useful after all." she grinned as she pulled back. audrina and camden were never able to do work together, whether they wanted to or not. the instant they were stuck in a room together, they wouldn't get any work done. in fact, if it all set on fire and destroyed everything, they probably wouldn't notice.
she watched him as he put on his thoughtful face. hearing him, she laughed before pretending to consider the thought. "hm....camden, my love, i deem that a worthy something to do." she grinned at him. who wouldn't want to do that? course, it was more of the fact that he was smiling too brightly for her to even consider not doing what he wanted. it probably wasn't beneath him to cry to get his way, but course, it never needed to go that far; usually her cammikins had great ideas that she would willingly do. hello, the mall? that idea had been classic. she was still laughing at how many people thought that charade; she'd even been slightly laughing as he 'came out' to her and 'broke her heart'. that was one of the best days she'd ever had.
her and camden were known around campus to be two of the weirdest people when put together. it was always so amusing. she was just happy that camden was happy with her. she knew of the whole tristan incident, and the minute he'd told her she'd given him a big hug and made him stay the night with her, where they talked, had s'mores, and just goofed off. ever since, they've kept virtually nothing from each other. she told him about how her mom wasn't really her mom, and he'd told her about how his father'd split him and tristan up. in fact, she doubted that, even after they were done college, that they would lose contact. they'd probably end up living together when they left college, and with tristan. she'd constantly assured him that he and tristan would be back together one day, even if that meant she had to go to london and get the damn guy and bring him over.
she looked at camden before jumping up. "so are we hunting for hot guys, or are we goign to sit here trying to imagine two teachers hooking up?" she hated to go there; immediately the picture came up in her mind. shivering slightly, she shook her head before holding her hand out. "let's go!"
