* sienna juliette coughlin ,
* back to basics ,
name : sienna juliette coughlin. nicknames : suri, or whatever you can come up with to get her attention. age : twenty-one. major : dance. birthday : may 11th, 1987 sexuality : straight. place of birth : nyc, baby.
* the outer shell ,
celebrity play-by : kate beckinsale. hair color : light brown. eye color : brown. weight : 125-ish. height : 5'5" overall : sienna has a very diverse clothing style, and tries new styles or combinations of clothes very often. she normally has her hair down, in it's natural wavy state. she doesn't mind if her clothes are 'name brand', but most of them are. she likes to be warm and casual rather than in 'style', whatever that is. most times you will find her in jeans or pajama pants. she keeps her figure by dancing, and wishes she was taller than her semi-short five foot five.
* what you see ,
overall personality : Having to sit and watch Barney the dinosaur on TV daily taught Sienna some good manners. She says please and thank you, and acts like a perfect lady when she needs to be. Always trying to be a good friend, she'll never tell your secrets or problems to anybody, unless you give her the okay. Suri doesn't get shy around guys like some other girls her age, she just acts cool and collected- same as always, even around a guy she likes. One of the things that makes her happy is when she makes people laugh. She is forever trying to cheer people up with stupid jokes. The only way she won't give you a gentle and warm smile is if you're fighting or on bad terms with her, which is a whole different story.
Sienna doesn't have a short fuse, and rarely gets very mad. She gets annoyed and frustrated, but never throw-something mad. She just thinks a lot, and stays quiet if you upset her. She isn't a wimp, but she does cry over things like rejection and break ups. Sadly, she holds grudges against people, but the grudges can be lifted with the right words and time. Sienna is a people person, so if you ask her what's wrong, maybe the second time you ask her she will tell you, as long as you're one of her trusted friends or her boyfriend. If, by chance, you do succeed in getting Suri very mad, she's not gonna chase after you and beat you up. She'll just make rude remarks and fight back if you instigate with her. Sienna is definitely not afraid of a fight, but would rather settle things in a different way than with violence, unless she's drunk or high.
Sienna is a very caring person in all- but she does keep a lot to herself. She gets sad a lot- especially (obviously) when things aren't going her way. Refusing to tell people her problems is only the beginning- she'd rather hold everything inside and cry. She isn't emo, hasn't cut herself on purpose in her life- but she is very sensitive, and gets sad pretty easily. Other people's problems give her a challenge- to help them become happier- but hers are just little burdens that she feels nobody wants to waste their time hearing. What she really needs is a boyfriend or a friend who will take the time to 'crack' her.

history : On a warm summer evening not too long ago, Nathan Allen Coughlin met Carly Marie Foster on a frat boat party. They were both attending the same college, UMass Amherst, but had never met prior to this boat party. They met over the buffet table, where she was picking up pineapple chunks with little toothpicks, and he was helping himself to some M&M chocolate chip cookies. Nathan looked up, and slightly to the right, accross the table, and saw the woman he would later marry. At the time, though, he didn't realize it. At the time, he just thought she was cute, and decided to trick her into meeting him. It was a bit cliche, when he left his wallet on the table in plain sight, and walked away. He never gazed back, but soon felt a tap on his back. Carly stood there shyly, holding up the leather wallet. He thanked her and they talked a bit, and ended up dancing the night away.
At the time, both halves of the relationship were seniors, about to graduate from college. Carly majored in education, while Nathan in business. The graduation and half of the summer went by really fast for the two lovebirds. During the summer after graduation, nearly a year after they had met, Nathan did what most of their friends, when later told, "finally!"'d at. He proposed to Carly on the dock that the boat docked into, and of course, the young lady said yes. It was a bit sudden, but her parents and his still approved. The wedding was set to be the December of that year, in the snow. It was a lovely day for everyone, and the food was amazing.
After a few years of working, success on both ends, they found that they were financially stable enough to have a child. Carly had wanted one for a long time, but Nathan was hesitant. They got pregnant, and were determined not to figure out the gender of their child until the day it was born. Like many people who agree to not find out, they broke, five months into the pregnancy and found that their little bundle of joy was a little girl. This made them more excited than before, and made it easier to shop for baby accesseries. Thrilled, they waited out the next four months - full of morning sickness, mood swings, nagging and whining. But now, looking back and seeing that everyones still alive, they made it.
Sienna Juliette Coughlin was born on May 11th, 1987. Her mother was relieved that the little girl was out, and a few minutes after holding her, fell fast asleep, nearly dropping baby Suri. Her father took her and held onto her for a long time, gazing at his little girl. The cliche moment ended as visiting hours had drawn to a close. He waved goodbye to his girls and went home to prepare the household for the rucus that was Sienna. A few days after she was born, she and her mother went home to start the rest of their lives together. Suri's first few months were pretty easy, seeing as she never really cried much, other than for normal things, like food. Her mother was relieved to have a sane child, not one who threw tantrums over small things in the middle of the grocery store.
When Sienna was big enough to walk, she ran around the house like there was no tomorrow. Her steps were small wobbly, with her short legs going a hundred miles per hour. She loved mobility, and hated to be kept in something. If confined to a highchair, playpen, or worse - her crib, she'd sit and weep quietly until one of her parents let her out to run the house again. They had to be careful that she didn't learn how to unlach the little kid's dog fence that blocked the stairs, because lately she'd been learning a lot of things she shouldn't know how to do. Sienna was a very mischevious little girl, even at this young age. Though she never did anything so bad that she needed to be punished.
When pre-school started, Suri was all for it, except for when her mother had to leave. She'd get very teary when she'd have to depart from her mother, and sulk for a little while every day when her mother would leave. After a few weeks this slowly started to fade, half because she was getting used to the idea of being out in the world, and that the wooden blocks bribed her out of her misery. After a few months of pre-school, she was very well off. She spent the next summer in the pool, and school shopping for kindergarten with her mom. Her next year was a big year - a bigger school, more kids, older kids.. but Sienna had Cale, her older cousin, to protect her. He was only a year older, but she idolized him nonetheless.
This year, Sienna's mother signed her up for ballet classes which she took to immediately, enjoying every class more and more. Her teachers gave her a place in PeWee Company, the traveling and competing dance group that fit her age group. She enjoyed all the traveling, and even got to go to Disney in Orlando to dance at the nationals. Suri tried tap, jazz, and almost every class offered at her studio, but enjoyed ballet the most. She was Suri, her parent's little ballerina.
As the school years went by, Suri became very aware of some of her dancing talent. She had progressed through company dance with her age, easily making the requirements. Trin loved to dance alone, all eyes on her. Unfortunately, there was very little room for her to do her own dance in company, so she settled for groups. The year Suri started seventh grade was set back by the fact that Cale, her beloved cousin, would be leaving to go to school in London in the fall. That year went by quickly, too quickly in Sienna's oppinion, and before she knew it, Cale had left, gone to England to some prissy school for arts. She was upset, and though she did have other friends, she missed her cousin. By the end of seventh grade, Sienna had chosen to go to the same type of school, but not for the same thing as Cale. He was a talented singer. She applied to a school for the arts right here in NYC, where she grew up.
Sienna waited anxiously the summer before ninth grade to see if she was accepted into this school or not. Her mother and sister, Sam, laughed at her because she was always at the window watching for the mailman. Trin waited and waited, and then one day, the mailman came and left the mail in their mailbox. He smiled and waved at Suri in the window, and sauntered off. After skipping to the mailbox and snatching the mail, with shaking hands, she opened the letter. She looked at the paper and smiled, jumping up and down happily. Her mother snatched the paper out of her thirteen year old daughters hands, and read the letter that was on top. ACCEPTED. That was the only word Sienna read at that time, because it was all she really wanted to know.

Trin sat at her desk, completely lost in a mass of books and miscelaneous papers. She was in over her head with work to make up, and was getting to the point where she would totally give up. Trin closed her giant mathematics book and turned on her computer screen. She always left her computer on, especially because it supplied her with the music that she had to use to keep her focused on her homework. She had no interest in math, and never would, especially if her singing career took off. Trin shook her head, because the 'what's the point?' attitude wasn't going to help her later in life, if anything were to happen to her, her career, or her lifestyle. Trin gazed boredly at the screen as she brought up her MSN buddylist. She wasn't really interested in talking to anyone in paticular, so she placed a chatroom 'ad', if you will, for someone to talk to.
The person who replied she didn't recognize, a boy named Mitch Daniels. She wasn't quite sure if she had heard the name before, and decided it wouldn't hurt to make a new friend. She replied to him a few times, and found that he was a pretty interesting guy. A lot like her in some ways, which was somewhat rare. When Mitch invited her to his room to study, she agreed, no hesitation. Trin grabbed her Heathington string backpack and put her papers into it, and carried her books in her arms. She was afraid that if she put the books into the bag too, or alone, they'd break the seam at the bottom of the bag. Trin placed her bag and books neatly on her bed, and made way for her closet.
Trin wasn't about to change, but grab a sweatshirt or something. She was too comfortable to change, anyway. Oversized black sweat/pajama pants and a white tank-top, a normal Trinity-at-her-dorm ensemble. She grabbed a gray zip-up sweatshirt and placed her arms through the warm sleeves, and put the hood up over her head. Trin grabbed some flip-flops, and made sure she looked okay in the mirror. She normally wasn't very self-consious, and rarely cared about what other people thought, especially about the fact that she smoked. As she had gotten older, Trin had learned to be her own person, regardless of what other people thought. No matter how many times any adult told her not to care, like everyone else, Trin had learned this in her own way, completely by herself.
Trin gazed at the clock, and then at the window. It was dark out, but then again, it always was due to daylight savings time. Still, it was a bit late, but Trin could care less. She picked her keys up off of her long dresser, concluding that she did look presentable, and headed for the door. She slipped through the wooden frame, books and all, and closed the heavy wooden door. She locked the door and made sure that she didn't misplace her keys, which ended up in her backpack. She adjusted her books, the weight of them crushing her arm. She then proceeded to the stairs, which she went down with ease. Trin gazed at the doors on the bottom floor as she made it down the three other sets of stairs, coming from the 400's floor, her being a senior.
As she pushed open the girl's dormitories main door, she felt a gust of cold air whiz by her face. She shivvered, wishing she had brought a jacket instead of this thin sweatshirt, but it was too late now. She'd already braved the stairs, which were much easier to go down than to come up. She pushed the door open with her free arm, and let it close behind her. The boy's dorms weren't very far away, and Trin figured her car would be just as cold, so she decided to walk. The scenery of the grounds was pretty amazing, in Trin's oppinion. The night was silent, no birds singing a late night song in the cold air. All Trin could hear were the clapping of her feet against the pavement, and her teeth starting to chatter. Trin began to move faster, and a smile spread accross her face when she saw the lights of the boy's dorms.
Trin went up the stairs and inside the dorms, shivvering a bit still. When she reached the 400's floor she stopped and took off her backpack, looking for a slip of paper that she had written the boy's dorm number on. Trin kneeled down and looked for a moment, finding the little yellow sticky-note attached to the wall of the beige bag. She gazed at her girly numbers, and reminded herself that he lived in dorm 404. She folded the note and placed it in the deep pockets of her warm black pants, and proceeded down the hallway, stopping at the one with the big gold letters, that read 404. Trin knocked on the door slightly, and awaited his response. Wondering if they would be alone, or if he had a roommate, Trin shrugged. She wouldn't mind being alone, especially since odds were that she wouldn't know his roomie. Trin rubbed her cold hands together, and gazed at the door.
